Welcome to the life of a world-class coward.
Rincewind runs down the halls of Unseen University, paying no mind to where he's headed. Someone with a good degree of common sense might point out to him that running around carelessly in a magical university is a good way to end up dead, or possibly as a tea cozy. There are still countless booby traps left behind from a time when assassination was a perfectly valid means of advancement in the wizarding ranks, in addition to the magical hot-spots and leaks that are a natural result of a high-thaum environment.

But Rincewind is less concerned with this theoretical danger, and more preoccupied with the giant suvolte demon one of the students has managed to summon accidentally. The giant suvolte demon that is now right behind him.

Stupid, good-for-nothing students.

He ducks around another corner, and subconsciously registers the fact that he no longer recognizes any of the halls around him. His conscious mind is too busy with the blinding terror to notice.

He takes a sharp left, and finds himself facing a dead end. He utters a distressed little squeak, and then opens one of the doors and flings himself in, slamming the door behind him.
